Spring has sprung in Kentucky, and the quilters have truly surprised me. It’s been a long winter indoors, with plenty of quilting but very poor light to capture their new work. Imagine my surprise to discover the incredible pop art creations of Freida and Joyce this week in my inbox! First, a gorgeous American Flag quilted by Joyce which would be perfect for a modern or traditional home, then a whimsical original by Freida featuring pistols framed on a white background. They remind me of both Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns, and would make unique additions to any home.
We’ve received some lovely feedback on our baby quilts. Recipients appreciate the original designs, all-natural materials, and the fact that their gift was handmade by a person rather than a large factory.
